The summer is officially here; therefore, Nike’s new basketball darlings are on the horizon. Today, Nike officially unveiled the Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011, the next generation silhouette in their ongoing Hyperdunk series.

In its third evolution of the Hyperdunk, Nike continues to improve and renovate its ever-so-popular Flywire technology. The Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011, endorsed heavily by Blake Griffin, is specifically equipped with Flywire technology that is seamlessly blended in a mesh composite upper to create a design lighter in weight and more breathable than its predecessors. Nike also incorporated a new 3-D shaped, glass reinforced composite midfoot shank, which gives players torsional rigidity and responsiveness. Other performance attributes include Nike Zoom units in both the heel and forefoot and a 11.5 ounce weight.

The Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 will hit China retailers on August 5 and will debut in the US on August 12. Stay tuned for additional release information.
