Nike Zoom Kobe 4
After enduring a tough loss in the 2008 NBA Finals, Bryant decided to revamp his on-court aesthetic by incorporating a sleeker, lower cut, with his newest signature model. Enlisting the help of noted designer Eric Avar, Kobe instructed the aforementioned designer to created the lightest weight basketball shoe ever. With studies disputing the notion that lower cut shoes cause injuries, Nike and Avar introduced the Nike Zoom Kobe 4. The model incorporated Nike Flywire throughout the upper, while employing Nike Air Zoom cushioning throughout. With Kobe spending a majority of his childhood in Italy and developing a love for soccer, the influence seen can be noticed in this innovative silhouette.
