A classic Nike Zoom Kobe 6 colorway is rumored to return in Protro form this year. Originally seen in 2014 as a member of the “Prelude Pack” that included the Kobe 1 – 8, the Nike Zoom Kobe 6 “Prelude” is going Protro.
The rumored release of the Nike Zoom Kobe 6 Protro “Prelude” is the second Kobe Protro following the renewal that Nike and Kobe’s estate penned and followed up with the “Mambacita Sweet 16” Kobe 6 in celebration of Gigi and in support of the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation.
The Nike Zoom Kobe 6 Protro “Prelude” will mirror the OG colorway, nodding Kobe’s 2011 MVP accolade. The Kobe 6’s signature snake-like upper is coated in a multicolor look with graphics that nod to Venice Beach and feature the ocean, fish, octopus, and sharks. Same animal, different beast.
A release date for the Nike Zoom Kobe 6 Protro “Prelude” has not been confirmed. However, the pair is expected to release on SNKRS and select retailers later this year. A price has not been confirmed either.
