Kobe Bryant is hanging up his sneakers at the end of the 2015-16 season, but thankfully Nike is bringing his old ones back. While we’ve seen similar rollouts with the “Prelude” Pack and are still hopeful on OG colorways returning, the “Fade to Black” Collection sees the first formal transition to Kobe’s sneaker life as a retired player.

Seen today via SneakersSpy is the Nike Zoom Kobe IV “FTB” which dons a tonal grey look with smooth material contrast on the upper. Fans of the Zoom Kobe IV remember it as the first low top signature from the Nike Kobe series and the first to feature Flywire and Lunarlon technology. It will be interesting to see if in retro life if the Kobe series retains the same performance prestige or is produced more for lifestyle use.

Let us know your hopes for the Nike Kobe “FTB” Pack and future Black Mamba retros in the comments section.
