The Vomero line, born in the early aughts as Nike‘s pinnacle of cushioning technology, has undergone various transformations since it was conceived. Now what was once the sole domain of serious runners has been embraced by the style cognoscenti.

As the ever-evolving world of sneaker culture continues to boom, the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 Roam emerges as a tour de force, seamlessly blending tech-noir aesthetics and Y2K sensibilities. Debuting back in August, Nike is prepping the model’s release for the Fall 2024 season.

For this iteration, the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 Roam “Black/Light Silver” sports a monochromatic outfit and a sophisticated interplay of materials, showcasing Nike’s mastery of texture. Ripstop and other synthetics create a topography that begs to be touched, inviting the wearer to engage with the shoe on a tactile level. Rounding out the silhouette’s chucky and tech-forward aesthetic are the hiking-inspired laces carved out midsole.
