As NBA All-Star Weekend 2019 quickly approaches, Nike has offered a definitive look at the sneakers releasing in association of the leagues biggest weekend.
Although much of the signature releases work in partnership with Jordan Brand, Kevin Durant, Paul George and Kyrie Irving all see pairs of their current signature models take new forms in the All-Star collection. Durant again honors his late Aunt Pearl, Irving collaborates with ROKIT, and Paul George explores Nike’s ACG heritage.
Among the most central releases in the collection is the Adapt BB — Nike’s budding auto-lacing basketball sneaker. It’s already been seen on-court thanks to Jason Tatum and Luka Doncic, but now the shoe will be available to the general public in limited numbers.
Nike also makes sure their massive female audience is well-served with a floral-inspired collection. Touching on the Air Force 1, Air Foamposite One, Air Swopes II and the Vandal 2K LX, black centers the varied assortment alongside contrasting vibrancy.
The collection, too, marks the first release of the Air More Uptempo 720. With it comes the wildly expressive Air Max 720 SATRN which utilizes a hoops-focused upper paired with inspiration that circles Charlotte’s rich racing culture.
