Say what you want about Kobe Bryant’s game and its similarities to one of the greatest basketball players of all time. But, if there’s one area other than basic mathematics where 24 is greater than 23, it could be the performance prowess when it comes to their signature basketball sneaker line. That comes to question again as we see the newest addition to the Nike Kobe A.D. series pulling up in a new colorway.
Coming in black, silver and infrared, the yet-to-be-named silhouette sports a sock-like upper with taped seams, locked down by a lacing system of only four pairs of eyelets. Down the middle of this pair of kicks, you’ll find the numbers 08, 23 and 78 as an ode to Kobe Bryant’s birthday, while the right sneaker honors his jersey numbers spanning from high school to his last game with the Los Angeles Lakers (33, 08 and 24).
Release details are still up in the air and unknown, so be sure to check back here on Nice Kicks for updates.
