Much like the Oregon Ducks benefit from Nike alumni, the North Carolina Tarheels triumph greatly due to the fact that Michael Jordan played his college ball there. That is further evidenced today with a first look at their Air Jordan XXX1 “Coaches vs. Cancer” PE.
Forgoing the Heels traditional sky blue coloring, this Air Jordan XXX1 opts for a maroon and gold colorway to coincide with the cause at hand. “Carolina” is scripted across the outer of the translucent outsole in light blue to signify the Heel x Jordan Brand union.
The Tar Heels will wear this pair against the Virginia Tech Hokies this Thursday, January 26, at 8pm on ESPN. Take a look below.
