Yeezy has a new Head of Design in Nur Abbas, appointed by Kanye himself according to WWD. Abbas will be reporting to Ye directly, working on expanding the Yeezy brand, and responsible for overseeing adidas Yeezy, Yeezy Gap, and merch connected to the Yeezy Stem Player and merch for tours and events.
“I’m energized to work with Ye because he cares so deeply about design and moving culture forward.” Adding, At YEEZY and Gap, I’ve met some of the most talented people and teams, and I’m looking forward to working with them all to extend this new creative vision to the world.” said Abbas when speaking to WWD.
Abbas has been working at Nike for the past 5 years, most recently served as Design Director for Nike ACG and worked on NikeLab apparel prior. Abbas also worked at brands such as Uniqlo, Louis Vuitton, and Gucci prior to the Swoosh.
