Yesterday, 21 Mercer announced that they would be giving away raffle tickets for the Just Don x Air Jordan 2 release that has many sneakerheads very excited. While we’re all for the raffle system, it appears the turnout for the shoes was far too big as the NYPD has shut down the release.
Confirmed by IG video from @topshelfkicks, the police ordered the hopeful raffle recipients to leave. It doesn’t appear than anything was violent, hectic, or even unruly, simply just too many people came out. Would an online release have been better for a drop of this magnitude or is lining up/raffle giveaway still the preferred choice? Give us your opinion in the comment section.
