Fat Joe is making sneaker headlines again as the hip-hop icon revealed an OFF-WHITE x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Arabic” Sample.

While little is known about the pair and its origins, the OFF-WHITE x Nike AF1 creation arrives in a relatively tame look with an all-black upper, crips white midsole, and a metallic silver Swoosh, drawing parallels to the 2018 “MoMA” OFF-WHITE x Nike Air Force 1 Low.

Aside from its black-and-white look, what sets the pair apart is the Arabic text on the medial panels. Like the rest of the OFF-WHITE x Nike catalog, the text reads:

Off-White for Nike
Air Force 1
Beaverton, Oregon, USA
1982

It’s only right that Fat Joe showcases one of Virgil Abloh‘s rarest creations. It’s even more poetic that it’s an AF1.

His deep-rooted passion for sneakers, particularly the Uptown, has made him a key figure in sneakers.

One of the most iconic symbols of his influence is the Terror Squad x Nike Air Force 1s, a collaboration between Nike and Fat Joe’s rap crew, Terror Squad. Originally created in the early 2000s in very limited quantities for friends and family, these sneakers became highly coveted in the sneaker community due to their rarity and the bold “TS” logo.

In 2023, the highly anticipated release of the Terror Squad Air Force 1s finally gave fans a chance to collect a grail-status Air Force 1.

Who can forget Fat Joe’s infamous moment on MTV’s “Cribs” in 2004, when he licked the sole of a pair of OG Air Jordan 7s? He’s also recreated the moment several times, once with the “Gamma” Air Jordan 11s.

While we don’t expect Joey Crack to lick this pair, we do hope more details of the pair’s creation surface. However, we don’t anticipate the OFF-WHITE x Nike Air Force 1 Low to release anytime soon.
