Earlier this year, images began to surface of Virgil Abloh’s then unofficial Off-White x Air Jordan 1 collaboration. The shoe was fashioned in his traditional deconstructed style, with unique tactical design updates that mimic a sample product still under construction.
New images of the shoe are revealed today offering the best look yet at the highly anticipated style. Initially you’ll notice an enlarged Swoosh at the paneling that bleeds onto the red leather overlays which are consistent with the OG “Chicago” colorway. Blue and orange stitch work mark both the tail-end and front of said Swoosh, while Off-White stock branding appears at the shoes medial siding.
“AIR” marks the weathered midsole alongside a similar broken in conditioning on the frayed, unbranded tongue. Also, in overly obvious fashion, the laces are marked “SHOELACES” bringing an apparent level of satire to the shoe.
