Virgil Abloh and his Off-White label has worked closely with Nike over the past year. Both directly and indirectly, Virgil has produced collaborative Air Force 1’s seen at Art Basel and fashion week shows – none of which have been traditionally confirmed by either party. Today, though, Off-White and NikeLab officially partner for an “EQUALITY” tee furthering Nike’s global efforts through its new campaign.
The Off-White x NikeLab “EQUALITY” Tee, now available in limited numbers at 21 Mercer in NYC, is hopefully the jumping off point for the two brands to release some footwear. Abloh, both friends and business associates with A$AP Bari of VLONE whose NikeLab collab currently reigns as the best of the year, is largely the guiding light in street culture along with his friend Kanye West. Thus, any release with Nike would be monstrous in essentially every facet. Will it happen, though? Yeah, probably. The question has, and will remain, when?
