Taking cues from Kanye in production and presentation, Hit?s resume and rotation mirror that of his G.O.O.D. Music mentor. ?Being around him, I get to learn so much musically and learn so much about style just by looking at him and watching him.? His wardrobe at the Nice Kicks Shop confirms as much, as Hit sports a blend of luxury basics that are neutral in color but progressive in cut, with ?Thunder? 4s bringing the bass. Like other members of the G.O.O.D. Music camp, personal style is a representation of music and vice-versa. ?My music is fresh but understated at the same time,? says Hit-Boy. ?The way I dress is too. I don’t go too overboard with the colors and everything, I just keep it fresh.?
The gifted artist has seen musical success lead to style points in the past when a famous fan surprised him with the unreleased “Watch The Throne” LeBron 9s. ?I was backstage at the Watch The Throne concert and LeBron and his people came through and gave me a pair. I didn?t even know I was going to get them. They only made nine or ten pair and I was able to get one of them. I?ve worn them a couple times, I keep them stashed though.?
Even with all the success, famous friends, and exclusive items, none of it has gone to Hit-Boy’s head, as he remains humble and motivated by the future and his fans. ?I?m focused on the music. I want people to get out of All I’ve Ever Dreamed Of the fact that you can really follow your dreams and make them happen. I?m young and I?ve got my own label, HS87, rocking with Audio Push and K. Roosevelt. We?re just moving. Getting out your dreams, it?s real, it can really happen.?
