Great Scott! A couple of months ago, photos of filed patent papers for an automatic lacing system shoe caused quite a commotion in the sneaker world. Although a Nike Air Mag release for 2011 has yet to be confirmed, we have surprisingly spotted the OG “Marty McFly” Nike Air Mag up for auction. This pair, valued somewhere between $12,000 to $15,000, is now available in an auction at Profiles in History. If you recall, Marty McFly travels to the year 2015 to save his family in the blockbuster film “Back To The Future 2.” During his brief stay in the future, Marty McFly obtains the Nike Air Mag, a futuristic pair of sneakers that feature a hands-free lacing system. Although this sneaker was originally a prop in the movie, the Nike Mag has become an icon for many sneaker heads. Obviously, this pair is in no condition to make any time travel trips yet, they would definitely make a great addition to any collection.
