Dutch artist Parra has a rich collaborative history with Nike. Championing the Air Max 1 in the late 2000s in iconic colorways that remain among the best pairs ever produced, Parra again joins with the brand for a new collection featuring the Air Max 1 and Zoom Spiridon.
Both pairs — with an accompanying track jacket — feature a budding Parra pattern with varying stripes, polka dots and a cloud graphic. Its overarching theme circles the city and countrywide or, better stated, the juxtaposition of the two.
Three sneakers in total encapsulate the collection — the Nike Zoom Spiridon and two iterations of the Air Max 1. A friends and family iteration is the most intriguing, removed from Swoosh branding at the panel where an aforementioned cloud graphic holds court.
Parra’s new Nike collection is set to release on July 21.
