The rest of the weekend went as usual with a lot of work and several shenanigans. The first and most shenanigans start with Jared. He rolls into the studio carrying his skateboard and wearing what seemed to be a monkey costume/footie pajamas. Who knows why or how he got such an outfit but he fit right in amongst the other citizens of Portland. More ruckus ensued with expertly timed photos of Tuan and Stefan.
Now for a story that is less about laughs and more about dreams coming true. Below is a photo of Maher. In his hands happen to be a limited edition pair of Melos. Growing up in Tunisia Maher not only dreamed of designing sneakers, he dreamed of owning one pair of Jordans. From Day 1 all he could talk about was meeting Michael Jordan, a difficult task for anyone to achieve. He also happened to have a birthday during the completion. So, D’Wayne and some other students took a trip to the Nike campus to walk around and Maher came home with these bad boys. Now for the footwear design dream. Not just for him but for all of the WSC contestants.
There’s one week left and things are getting exciting. Stay tuned for all eight teams to be back in action tomorrow and don’t forget to vote for the final eight contestants on Sports Illustrated starting soon after the critique this Friday.
