The Nike Zoom LeBron VI has been everywhere this basketball…literally. With that said, our Nice Kicks staff decided to do a performance testing on this sneaker to find out why it is so popular. From our first glance at King James’ latest sneaker, it seemingly looks a little too bulky; however, after testing it we have realized, that “you cannot judge a book by its cover.” We concluded that the Nike Zoom LeBron VI is one of the sturdiest sneakers on the market now.

Performance Testing: Nike Zoom LeBron VI

Strengths: This has to be one of the more durable sneakers on the market. You can liken this sneaker to the Energizer Bunny commercials because, through an extreme amount of wear and tear, the LeBron VI will keep going and going and going. With that said, this sneaker is a indoor/outdoor sneaker on steroids. This shoe meets the demands of any position on the court similar to LeBron’s role on the hardwood. Although, it is a very hard-nosed sturdy sneaker, it offers great support and soft cushioning on the ankle and heel. It carries the same tough outside/soft inside feel as some of Nike’s previous tough basketball sneakers such as the Nike Air Raid.

Weaknesses: Although the sneaker’s capacity is only 14.5 Oz, it feels as if it carries unnecessary amount of bulk to it. When making quick moves and sharp turns, the sneaker is not in unison with all the time. The forefront seems to noticeably weigh down on your foot; therefore, your vertical ability can be hindered at times (unless you are Lebron himself).
