Following a team-up in May 2022, Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free’s creative company, PgLang, and Converse are once again reuniting on a collaborative Chuck 70.
This time around the duo opt for two sleek black iterations, which are perfect for the colder months ahead. Each pair sports a predominantly black outfit with hiking-style eyelets and PgLang branding arriving on the medial walls and hangtag, as well as an asymmetrical rubber varnish.
Each pair boasts subtle and nuanced design cues, that with close examination will award the curious eye. One pair features Converse’s navy pinstriping on the left shoe and Irish cream on the right; the other features Irish cream pinstriping on the left with Converse red on the right. Other than that, the pairs keep it clean and simple, much like PgLang’s design language. Lastly, a tilted “a” motif plays hide-and-seek on the outsole and insole.
The collaborative duo wants to create a new experience, which will see one of the two colorways randomly being shipped, allowing luck to decide which pair buyers will receive. The PgLang for Converse experience will go live at converse.com and pg-lang.com at 12 pm ET on November 2.
