In 2016 at the inaugural ComplexCon, Pharrell and adidas Originals made a major splash with the first launch of the “NERD” Pharrell x adidas NMD Hu.
Based in black and limited in numbers, the shoe spoke to the early days of following Pharrell’s fashion and chasing merch attached to his band.
In the time since that release, many more variations of N.E.R.D. inspired NMD Hus have hit, ranging from callouts to VA and even a cream colorway. At this year’s ComplexCon, another pair is set to drop.
While the color story is unknown, we can see that band branding is in tact to the tone of bright blue and hot red hues.
