The undisputed NBA sneaker king, PJ Tucker, hit a milestone last night that was long overdue. After wearing hundreds of player exclusive sneakers issues to other players, Nike finally laced PJ with one of his own.

@nikebasketball sent @therealpjtucker17 his first set of PEs ?

Posting an unboxing video last night, Tucker revealed his low-cut Nike Hyperdunk X Low. The predominately white sneaker featured stark black accents and, true to form, hints of Rockets red. The heel of the shoe, which features a “PJ 17” logo, is the model’s best feature and it’s our first look at Tucker’s budding Swoosh logo.

PJ, of course, continues to impress nightly with his walk-in sneakers and on-court wears. Everything he has worn this season has been widely discussed. That won’t soon change, especially if Nike continues to outfit Tucker with more PEs throughout the season.

Hopefully, Tucker will begin to have a greater impact on the PEs Nike produces for him. Given his personal taste, that’s where the money is.

Tucker and the Rockets take the court tonight against the Utah Jazz on TNT at 9:30pm CT.
