PJ Tucker is officially a Nike Boy.
Wearing the Swoosh since he was a high school hooper in North Carolina to becoming Big-12 Player of the Year at the University of Texas, PJ has worn Nikes all throughout his amateur career and well into his professional career.
While Tucker enjoyed sneaker free agency as his last Nike contract expired on October 1st, word recently broke that Tucker would be inking a six-figure deal with the brand in Beaverton. Today, Tucker himself confirmed that him and Nike are back together and better than ever via Uninterrupted.
In the video above, Tucker tells the tale of his love of sneakers stemming from his childhood and blossoming into his Kicks On Court Champion career in the NBA. Tucker hints that him and Nike have some exciting stuff coming, too.
Congrats to PJ! It’s awesome to see someone from our community get recognized and get paid. It’s great as well to see Nike invest in someone who is invested in the culture.
