With the month of October serving as a 31-day reminder of the ongoing fight against breast cancer, sneaker brands have repeatedly stepped up to the plate, particularly in recent years, to bring awareness of the disease to the forefront. Nike Air Max Zoom Soldier V “Kay Yow”
Originally releasing alongside the Nike LeBron 8, the Nike Air Max Zoom Soldier V features a number of design characteristics imported from its signature couterpart, including hidden Dynamic Flywire and a similar tongue and lacing system. Despite shortening the Air Max unit, the silhouette makes up for the loss with a cross ankle strap. Ultimately, the Zoom Soldier V was seen on courts everywhere. Building upon that popularity, the platform was perfect for a “Kay Yow” colorway.
