While the remainder of the 80s and early 90s produced some sneaker heat, it was the 1993 NBA Draft that saw the most initial and long-term success. Nike inked top players Chris Webber and Penny Hardaway, placing them in their Force and Flight camps before giving each signatures. Penny?s line was an instant hit and later sparked a retro revival. Webber?s brand swapping prevented a dynasty but made for recognizable signatures with multiple labels.
