With new ownership, it seems that PRO-Keds is starting to get the brand back on track by going back to its roots.

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the brand, PRO-Keds is dropping the George Mikan Hi, paying homage to Geroge Mikan – one of the first athlete endorsers of basketball footwear, and one of the most dominant NBA big men of all-time, leading the Minneapolis Lakers to five titles in six seasons.

The shoe is a Royal Hi cut and features ultrasuede upper, leather lining, a rubber toecap, a customized PU footbed, and special accents highlighting Mikan’s Clark Kent-styled glasses.?? The black and navy colorways drop on June 25th, but the Minneapolis colorway will be extremely limited.
