PUMA‘s Chief Brand Officer, Adam Petrick, is stepping away at the end of this year.
For over 20 years, Petrick helped mold the creative direction for the brand’s internal and external global communications. Additionally, Petrick was the main force in the brand’s return to basketball in 2018, including signing six Top 3 draft picks across the NBA and WNBA along with notable veteran players from LaMelo Ball, Deandre Ayton, Skylar Diggins-Smith, and others. Petrick was fundamental in developing the partnership between PUMA and Jay-Z and his Roc Nation Sports agency.
Petrcik’s departure follows the brand’s relocation of Brand Management and Marketing Operations from Boston to Herzogenaurach, Germany at its global headquarters. He will be succeeded by Richard Teyssier, PUMA’s Regional General Manager in Europe.
I would like to thank Adam Petrick for his significant contribution to PUMA’s success during his more than 20-year-tenure with PUMA.
With Richard Teyssier, we have found the ideal candidate to drive PUMA’s brand elevation strategy in the future. He is not only a true marketing specialist who comes with a strong expertise in brand management.
He is also an integral part of our PUMA family and knows the business inside out from his more than 12 years of general management at PUMA France and PUMA Europe.
PUMA CEO Arne Freund
PUMA’s relocation of its Brand Management and Marketing Operations department stems from the company’s desire to improve communications and vision across key business categories.
