We recently spotted the NBA showing its care for protecting the environment by partnering with National Resource Defense Council (NDRC) in Green Week. Now, PUMA has joined in on the eco-friendly campaign by creating what seems to be a revolutionary concept.
PUMA just recently launched the ‘Clever Little Bag’, a newly-designed packaging system that undoubtedly preserves our environment’s resources. World-renowned designer Yves Behar lent his creative design efforts in the creation of this sustainable packaging. This re-usable bag uses 65% therefore; PUMA will reduce water, energy and diesel consumption on the manufacturing level by more than 60% per year. Specifically speaking, 8,500 tons less paper will be consumed, 20 million Megajoules of electricity saved, 1 million liters less of fuel oil used and 1 million liters of water saved. Who else is ready to preserve our environment? In addition to the manufacturing of the Clever Little Bag, PUMA will also fold its t-shirts one more time to reduce its packaging sizes! PUMA’s addicting, eco-friendly system, which includes this Clever Little Bag, will begin during the second half of 2011.
