Debuting back in April, PUMA continues a run of defiant, modern-day styles with the return of the all-new Thunder Spectra.
Taking its inspiration from both ’90s running silhouettes and PUMA x McQueen collaborations of old, a contemporary bulk widens the shoe’s hyper-aggressive stance. Exaggerated midsole tooling doesn’t quite scream “dad shoe,” but something a bit removed like a distant cousin. Mesh and nubuck account for much of the silhouette’s real estate while leather paneling and a PUMA formstripe juxtapose well with the shoe’s sporty dynamic.
The shoe’s debut colorway in black proved ideal for the rollout. Exceptional color blocking finds the upper where red, yellow and light blue adorns the lace collar and heel. A lighter blue shade then intertwines with the white midsole.
The PUMA Thunder Spectra is set to re-release on November 23rd for $120 at PUMA.com.
