Pyer Moss, the newly crowned 2018 CFDA Fashion Fund winner, winds down the biggest year in its youthful lifespan.
Among its many successes, this year includes the brand’s second collaborative Reebok sneaker, the Daytona Experiment 2, which released and subsequently sold out earlier this fall.
Reebok today reveals a budding colorway which adorns a mustard yellow hue. Sporting a lush juxtaposition of perforated leather and smooth suede, black and white reinforcements sustain the shoe with light contrasts at the tongue, midsole and heel counter.
A tonal deviation from earlier Daytona Experiment 2 styles — White/Green and Black/Multi — this new colorway is one more than the original Daytona Experiment, which only released in black and white. Jean-Raymond on Instagram today teased the possibility of a third colorway of his very first Reebok shoe.

Experiment 1’s still in heavy rotation— feel like I probably should’ve made a third colorway
Jean-Raymond, who founded Pyer (pronounced Pierre) Moss back in 2013, was recently listed among the coveted “40 of Tomorrow” — a list of the 40 most promising people in fashion by Women’s Wear Daily. His ongoing Reebok collaboration — paired with the primary luxury streetwear line that doubles as a political statement — continues to motion forward as one of the brightest in sneaker culture, and among the few brand collaborations with a black-owned fashion label.
The Pyer Moss x Reebok Daytona Experiment 2 “Yellow” is available today for $200 at Reebok.com.
