With Pelicans swingman E’Twaun Moore and Pistons guard Langston Galloway on their roster, Q4 Sports is slowly carving out their own little niche in the NBA. That niche was on full display on Christmas when Warriors big man JaVale McGee broke out a holiday-themed iteration of the Q4 Sports 495 Hi.
McGee actually had two Christmas-themed kicks for Golden State’s 99-92 victory over Cleveland on Monday – the 495 Hi “Elf” and the 495 Hi “Reindeer.” The Warriors big man however, only wore the “Elf” version to the game.
As you can probably tell from their names, both shoes paid tribute to the Christmas characters they were named after. The “Elf” iteration sported a red and green colorway while the “Reindeer” version was brown and had a white midsole and outsole. The “Reindeer” version also had a large eye on both sides, a red nose at the toe box and had McGee’s hometown of Flint written near the front of one side.
Moore also had a custom pair of Christmas-themed kicks as Q4 Sports created a winter white and icy blue iteration of the 495 Lo for him. The Pelicans guard however, has yet to wear his holiday-themed 495 Lo.
