Raf Simons dug deep when framing his latest adidas collaboration. Tracking back to 1984, and an often forgotten silhouette, Simons unearths the Matrix Spirit High-Top to evoke an elder sporting aesthetic intertwined with modern style adaptation.
Given the designer’s penchant to work with a noir sensibility, he remains in character here with black canvas construction coupled atop a matching rubber sole unit. White trefoil branding along with Simons’ “RS” logo bring the acutely bravado-laced look to a close.
