With this morning’s release of the Air Jordan 6 Black/Infrared, the Year of the 6 was officially in the books. With 10 men’s releases and 5 GS and smaller drops, the shoe celebrated its 23 year anniversary in a big way. Jordan Brand held (almost) nothing back releasing all but one OG colorway of the Air Jordan 6 and used the silhouette in everything from MJ history lessons to a collaboration.

Michael Jordan won his first NBA Championship while sporting the Air Jordan 6 in 1991 and this execution of the Air Jordan 6 was to represent the celebration cigar MJ famously smoked after taking down Magic and the Lakers.
