Last week, Reebok revealed the Reebok Answer I “All-Star” pack. The pack is made up of two patent leather Answer I colorways, including a red/white makeup. A different spin is placed on the normal patent leather normally seen on sneakers. The Reebok Answer I All-Star Red/White applies a bit of texture to the patent leather to give the shiny material a tumbled look. White leather breaks up the red coloring on the upper. White laces match the white midsole to keep the color scheme flush. Hits of silver are present on the midsole, and the Reebok vector symbol on the lace closure. The red, translucent DMX outsole is infused with silver speckles to add a final touch.
The Reebok Answer I All-Star Red/White was initially a sample made in case Allen Iverson made it to the 1998 NBA All-Star Game. He did not, and the shoe was scrapped and never released. Luckily, Reebok decided to bring them back, along with a navy/yellow colorway, on Friday July 26. Take a look at the detailed images below, and let us know if you have plan to cop a pair.
