2009 will be considered China’s Year of the Ox, and we have already seen Nike’s tribute to the theme in the form of a Nike Blazer and a Nike Air Max 1. However, Reebok also has designed a sneaker inspired by the Year of the Ox.
Reebok uses one of its classic sneakers, the Reebok Pump Omni Lite, to pay tribute to this special Chinese year. It features a predominately black and China red upper with gold accents on the eyelets. The sneaker also contains red and black chinese symbols surrounding the upper just above the midsole. The infamous pump logo, located on the tongue, is colored in red as well. Which Year of the Ox inspired sneaker pays tribute the most: the Nike pack or this Reebok Pump Omni Lite?
