Reebok launched the RBK line and saw tremendous success partnering with Jay-Z and G-Unit. ?After those two acts were signed, however, the brand’s hip hop artist winning streak came to a halt. That all changed recently when Swizz Beatz was brought on to help promote and advance the brand, a move proven successful by the popular relaunch of a number of classic Reebok models under his direction.
Earlier, we reported the news that Rick Ross was dropped by Reebok following public outrage over his lyrics in Rocko’s song “U.O.E.N.O.” where he mentions slipping drugs into women’s drinks without their knowledge. Many women’s rights groups voiced outrage over the song and demanded Reebok end their endorsement deal with Rick Ross.
