Throwback in its inspiration and appearance alike, the Air Jordan 1 KO “UNC” is new retro. As one of Jordan Brand’s elder statesmen, Richard Hamilton has been the beneficiary of countless early shipments. Luckily for us, Rip has shared many of them for the rest of us to see. His latest preview shows off the North Carolina-inspired KOs, a canvas construction in MJ’s college hues. This rendition of the Air Jordan 1 KO maintains the model’s classic aesthetics and brightens them up with Tar Heel blue. A white canvas base holds Carolina blue overlays, posted on an aged-white midsole and blue outsole. Keeping it original, Michael Jordan’s wings logo is stamped with “AJKO” on the ankle collar.
