| There is a first for everything as the Rivington Club Asics Gel Lyte III is the first sneaker collab that the shop has done. Last October saw the release of the Alife “Monster” Asics Gel Lyte IIIs that may be remembered as the first shoe to be permanently dressed in a Halloween costume. While the market didn’t take too well to those, I am sure a more positive outcome will happen for the Rivington Club collabs. To many, the Rivington Club was the first sneaker boutique in NYC. While that is often disputed, one can’t deny that it was the first of its kind with wood paneling and a luxurious build-out that has made it a sneaker landmark since it opened in 2001.
