In front of Michael Jordan himself, Roger Federer debuted the first ever Air Jordan-inspired tennis shoe on court in his opening round win last night at the US Open. As expected, the 17-time Grand Slam winner came out in all-black to put an extra emphasis on his new shiny NikeCourt Zoom Vapor AJ3 by Jordan sneakers. The shoe has the iconic White/Cement Air Jordan 3 take over the Nike Zoom Vapor 9.5 to create a special edition design that is just as stylish as it is functional. MJ was one of RF’s idols growing up, and now the two legendary athletes are friends with a direct connect. Get all of the details on the NikeCourt Zoom Vapor AJ3 here, and scroll down to see Roger Federer with them in action, as well as ESPN’s interview with Michael Jordan at the match.
