World of Niché, a newly opened, appointment-only sneaker boutique in New York City, aims to restore a youthful excitement to the world of footwear. A concept retailer with strict rules that include a one-at-a-time shopping experience, a no photo policy inside the store and absolutely nothing that resembles a lineup outside it, World of Niché is approaching sneaker culture in a very unique way. One that actually sees the store attendant bring said customer a pair of shoes for you to try on plated on a serving tray. Yes, that’s happening.
That being said, the budding brick and mortar also looks to be in the business making their own shoes. This one, vindicated by sneaker aficionado Ronnie Fieg, looks to be a vegetable tanned leather runner equipped with a comfort centered neoprene sockliner. According to GQ, the shoes are priced anywhere between $300-$400 retail.
Stay tuned for more on World of Niché and their modern approach towards sneakers and the shopping experience that surrounds them.
