Nike‘s role in the metaverse continues to grow. The Swoosh and its partnership with RTFKT, the digital creation organization, is doubling down on its success with its latest “phyigital” offering through with an exclusive Air Force 1 Low collection, accompanied by apparel.
The Clone X x Nike Air Force 1 Low collection marks Clone X’s first season of its Forging system, enabling users to acquire physical merchandise based on their specific NFT.
The Clone X collection is centered around wearables including hoodies, jackets, t-shirts, hats, socks, and sneakers. Additionally, Takashi Murakami and his artistic work make their way into the collaborative effort.
After releasing on August 31, 2022, the RTFKT x Nike Air Force 1 Collection is now ready to forge. From April 24th to May 8th, RTFKT and Nike will begin “The Forging Event,” which holders of the eligible digital collectibles will be able to redeem their Air Force 1 NFTs for physical, made-to-order sneakers.
The event will be live for a limited time only. There is no extra cost to forge save for gas fees. If you haven’t already, you can secure a pair for yourself ahead of the forging event, by purchasing any one of the ten designs on OpenSea, as well as other secondary marketplaces.
