RTFKT, the web3 brand acquired by Nike, appears to be stepping into the offline world with its first shoe.
The shoe appears to be the latest development in the RTFKT x Nike story as the two recently partnered on an Air Force 1-inspired Clone X collection that could be minted and then later redeemed in physical form.
Images obtained by Nice Kicks of the RTFKT x Nike sneaker hint at a Nike “Mag”-inspired colorway with the addition of the Swoosh’s signature electronic lacing technology — Adapt. RTFKT logos appear on the shoe’s tongue, straps, heel counter, and midsole while “CRYPTOKICKS iRL” and “RTFKT” lettering also appear on the shoe. Nike filed a CryptoKicks patent in 2019 for blockchain-compatible sneakers.
The colorway sports a wolf grey upper and light teal accents as a continuation of the Nike “Mag” legacy that hasn’t been revisited since the Nike Adapt BB 2.0 from 2020.
Keep it locked on Nice Kicks as we await more information on the collaborative shoe.
