Among the most noteworthy fashion connoisseurs in the NBA, Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook wasn’t exactly a dark horse when it came to being chosen as a namesake figure for his own signature shoe. Known for his inventive style of play, Russ represents not only a new age point guard, but the evolution of the modern day basketball player. His shoe, the Jordan Westbrook 0, equally serves as a transformative shoe for Jordan Brand, too.

Westbrook holds his lifestyle driven shoe in very high esteem. Its foundational aesthetic is new for Jordan Brand, although, it does so in a way that tracks back to past Jumpman heritage. The all-leather upper married to ribbing in ballistic mesh is fueled creatively by the Air Jordan 11. And while the Westbrook 0 takes on an evident opulence, Russ didn’t want the shoes priced as such.

“Growing up, I did not have the access or the means to buy shoes for lifestyle and fashion purposes,” says Westbrook. “I wanted to make sure my shoe was accessible to kids and am excited to see how they will wear the Jordan Westbrook 0 and express themselves through the shoe.”

The Jordan Westbrook 0 is available now for $130 in black and white colorways at Nike. Grey and red iterations are slated to follow on August 1.
