RUMOR: The Upcoming Scarr’s Pizza x Nike Air Force 1 Low is a Slice of Sneaker History

In 2019, Scarr’s Pizza and Nike have joined forces for a sizzling collab, bringing together the New York pizzeria and the timeless Nike Air Force 1 Low. The Scarr’s Pizza x Nike Air Force 1 Low is rumored to release in 2025.

The exclusive sneaker was created with the beloved Lower East Side pizzeria known for its dedication to authentic, old-school pizza-making.

Founded by Scarr Pimentel, Scarr’s Pizza opened its doors in 2016, quickly becoming a hotspot for pizza lovers and New York’s tastemakers and sneakerheads alike. Scarr’s commitment to using high-quality ingredients and milling his own flour on-site set his pizzeria apart, creating a cult following in NYC.

The Scarr’s Pizza x Nike Air Force 1 Low from 2019 was as exclusive as the pizzeria itself. Limited in quantity, the sneaker was a Friends and Family exclusive, making it one of the most coveted AF1s in the last few years. Designed with input from God’s Favorite DJ, the one and only DJ Clark Kent, the pair seamlessly blends Scarr’s Pizza’s branding with the classic Air Force 1 silhouette.

The shoe features a premium white leather upper, reminiscent of Scarr’s signature pizza boxes, while the Swoosh boasts a royal blue with New York Knicks orange outline, nodding to the pizzeria’s color scheme. Details like the shop’s original 22 Orchard St. address on the tongue; “We Got This” and “Word is Bond” placed on the inner heel lining; and the Seal of New York on the heel tab in place of the signature “Nike Air” branding celebrating the pizzeria’s influence on NYC culture. The gum sole finishes off the design with a nod to the Concrete Jungle and its beloved use of a gum bottom on a pair of Uptowns.

Although the general release of the pair remains a rumor, it’s expected that the Scarr’s Pizza x Nike Air Force 1 Low will release in 2025, potentially via SNKRS and select retailers. However, it’s unknown if the upcoming pair will be a 1:1 version of the F&F pair from 2019 (which auctioned for $1$121,649).
