For the 95th semi-annual Pitti Uomo fashion show in Florence, Italy, later this month, retailer Slam Jam has something special in store for the sneaker community.
Partnering with Nike in celebration of the events, they’ve repurposed a vintage Nike Blazer with a very on-trend lens in which to view the brand’s iconic Swoosh.
While otherwise simplistic in white leather, washed grey trim and black accents, the shoe’s medial side Swoosh branding is flipped upside-down. The lateral Swoosh remains right side up, in contrast, providing a clever contrast between the two. “Class 1977” marks the shoe’s heel in homage to its original release date.
The sneaker’s release will take place on January 8 via pre-order. You’ll need to be in Italy to get your hands the shoe as they’ll be available at a Slam Jam pop-up at the Museum Shop of Museo Marino Marni.
Update 2/5: After a scaled release in January, Slam Jam will be re-releasing its Nike Blazer ” Class 1977″ collaboration on February 22 at their brick and mortars and online. The shoe is famous for its inverted Swoosh branding.
