#2 – Nike Air Max 1 “Amsterdam”
While art may not be the first activity that comes to mind when thinking of the arboreal destination, Amsterdam, it has produced some of the world?s finest artists. Dutch artists include the likes of Vincent Van Gogh, and the more sneaker and street friendly artist ?Parra?, who put Amsterdam on the map within the sneaker community. Parra was originally commissioned for the Capital Series in 2005, and his first design sported an orange/blue colorway for Holland?s Albert Heijn supermarket. Before the release of the AM 1 however the supermarket chain changed their colors and Parra followed suit accordingly producing the ?Amsterdam? AM 1?s that we all know and love.
