We are all aware that Spike Lee played the Mars Blackmon character in early Air Jordan commercials. One year after Mars Blackmon’s first appearance, Lee released the movie “Do the Right Thing,” which featured a multitude of Nike sneakers being worn by some of the film’s characters. The blue and yellow colors on the movie poster were the inspiration behind the Air Jordan 3 “Do the Right Thing.” If you look closely, you will see a pair of Air Jordan 3 Black/Cement on the movie poster as well.
