Released in limited quantities on Halloween 2009, the Air Jordan 1 “Leroy Smith” was made in tribute to one of Jordan Brand’s most creative campaigns. Leroy Smith was a mythical character that beat Michael Jordan out for the last spot on the varsity team during Jordan’s sophomore year. Since then, Smith had become a well-known motivational speaker by claiming to be the sole inspiration og Jordan’s greatness.
