Sneaker Politics, a Louisiana-based retailer with locations in Baton Rouge, Lafayette and New Orleans, just released a teaser for an upcoming event and/or activation surrounding the release of the Air Jordan 3 “Katrina.”
Striking a connection between the retailer and the state in which the devastation of Hurricane Katrina on the Gulf Coast reigned hardest back in August 2005, the shoe was released by Jordan Brand in an unofficial capacity to help raise money for victims and relief efforts. Now, more than a decade later, the shoe is releasing at retailers for general consumption.
Sneaker Politics looks to be at the center of the release as referenced by this black and neon green flyer revealed today. And while details remain scarce, it does alludes to an April 28 launch date. Up until now, the shoe has been reported to release on May 12.
