Update (03/02/2021):
It’s been an eventful week for the Hebert/West Coast Streetwear family. Bloomberg published an article giving an inside look at West Coast Streetwear’s lucrative resell business.
The article also detailed how WCS’s mother, Ann Hebert, used her corporate credit card to help her son’s business. Oh, did we mention that Ann Hebert is was Nike’s Vice President/General Manager of Nike North America.
Following the article’s viral magnitude, Hebert departed from her position in the company.
In addition to that backlash and controversy, the Bloomberg article detailed how Hebert came up on a plethora of Air Mags back in early 2020.
Original Story:
Joe (@wc_streetwear on Twitter) hit the lottery by coming across three deadstock pairs of the Nike Air Mag from the 2011 release. According to Joe, 6 pairs in total were found in an expired storage unit in Oregon. Joe came across the pairs via OfferUp and initially thought it was a bust.
After the person who came across the pairs sent the images of the boxes, Joe jumped on a few pairs immediately. Joe told Complex he already sold a pair on StockX for a cool $10,000 and is either going to sell the other two or just sell one while keeping the other for himself.
For those who might remember, only 1,500 pairs were made back in 2011 as a nod to Back to the Future II.
What would you do if you came across three pairs? Let us know on IG.
