Tomorrow marks the first launch from Nike?s 2012 ?Year of the Dragon? pack in the form of the limited “Year of the Dragon” Air Force 1 at Tier 0 accounts. In honor of welcoming another year of Zodiac-inspired sneakers, we offer you a look back at the Swoosh?s Chinese New Year AF1 releases ? a tradition that began early in the last decade. Make sure you cast your vote at the end of the feature, and let us know which Lunar New Year release has been the best so far.
Nike Air Force 1 ?Year of the Horse?
This Lunar New Year was so popular it got not one but two releases in 2002. Featuring a galloping horse on the insole and the character for ?horse? on the tongue and heel tab, this red and white release remains one of the more coveted Chinese New Year AF1s to date. It?s no wonder the horse in the Chinese Zodiac is associated with popularity and intelligence, because these are a no-brainer.
